Tambuzi Jointbody Opens Laboratory at Burguret Dispensary

After 6 months of co-ordination with the Ministry of Health, the Tambuzi Jointbody was pleased to help launch the new Laboratory at the Burguret Dispensary on Saturday 14th January. Using Euro 3,000 of Fairtrade Premiums, the Jointbody has bought equipment and re-agents and assisted with the salary of the new Lab Technician. The Lab will serve the local community who at present have to travel into Nanyuki if they require a lab test. On the day of the launch, the Ministry of Health sponsored a free medical camp which saw over 600 members of the community attended to over a 5 hour period.
